Senior Speech Pathologist, Acquired Brain Injury Transitional Rehabilitation Service (ABI TRS)
Nina is a Speech Pathologist, specialising in brain injury rehabilitation, with experience in positions across the healthcare continuum both in Australia and overseas. She currently works as a Senior Speech Pathologist in the Acquired Brain Injury Transitional Rehabilitation Service (ABI TRS), at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. ABI TRS provides early community based interdisciplinary therapy to adults with acquired brain injury. In this role, Nina has been actively involved in development and implementation of innovative interdisciplinary communication partner training program, cognitive-communication group program, and communication therapy in the ABI TRS vocational rehabilitation pathway.
More recently, Nina has been involved in reviewing resources, opportunities, and processes to facilitate and promote effective parent-child communication in line with their parenting goals, and to empower parents with brain injury to deliver education about their brain injury to their children as part of her successful 2026 Bright Sparks grant with The Hopkins Centre.
