Investigating the relationship between spatial environments and quality of life and health service use for people with spinal cord injury
About the Project
This study will establish the level of physical accessibility across health services used by people with SCI, furthermore the study will establish where health services are non-existent. This will provide evidence for advocacy efforts, and impact service provision.
This project is the first globally to investigate and inform on the understanding around the physical accessibilityof health services, places in the community, health service use and community engagement on the quality of life outcomes for people with spinal cord injury (SCI) in Australia. It investigates the relationship between spatial environments and quality of life and health service use and looks at the perceived physical accessibility of health services, accessibility and engagement of places in the community.
