National Parks Accessibility Study
About the Project
Project aims
This project aims to understand existing accessibility barriers and facilitators for people with disability accessing national parks and greenspaces.
Why this is important
National parks deliver invaluable economic, social, cultural, and health benefits and are for everyone’s use. We aim to explore how to develop and promote enabling environments which consider physical, sensory, cognitive, and social access.
End Goals
The end goal is to improve accessibility to national parks with and for those Australians who find access is difficult, or impossible, so everyone can receive the invaluable economic, social, cultural and health benefits available.
