Meet & Mingle - Christmas Edition

The Christmas Meet and Mingle was a lively event with 37 members participating in a fun night about pitching new projects.

Dr Samantha Siyambalapitiya and Associate Professor Carolyn Ehrlich presented two persuasive arguments for projects to address challenges in stroke rehabilitation and stimulated a conversation about what makes a good project pitch. Not to be outdone, all participants enthusiastically worked on their own pitch in the various research streams. Giving stirring performances were: Delena Amsters (User Engagement), Carolyn Ehrlich (Therapeutic Practices), Ali Lakhani (Positive Environments), Ben Turner (Services, Systems and Transitions) and David Trembath and Melissa Legg (Enhancing Frontline Capacity).

The ideas were creative, feasible and interesting and hopefully some will progress into real projects.  The Webb Centre once again provided the beautiful city sunset views which added to a great atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who made the effort to get there after a busy clinical or research day, wrestled with traffic and train travel, and from the Gold Coast, it was all the more fun for you being there.
