THC researchers talking about autism and early targeted intervention

Check out the latest research projects undertaken by THC researchers A/Prof Marleen Westerveld and Dr Jessica Paynter from the Gold Coast hub. All projects have a clear focus on raising awareness of the high literacy needs in children with autism, with the ultimate aim of providing early targeted intervention. Researchers have collaborated with important stakeholder groups including the Autism CRC, AEIOU Foundation, the First 5 Forever Team at the Brisbane City Council libraries, and Autism Queensland to produce several videos for educators and parents on early literacy predictors, individualised intervention and shared book reading intervention for young children on the autism spectrum.
