Ali Khan

Ali brings over twenty years of experience in both industry and higher education to his current PhD project titled 'Improving Mental Health Accommodations for PhD Students: Examining Psychosocial Disability Adjustments and Collaborative Approaches at Australian Universities'. Ali's industry background includes senior leadership roles, where he has led, hired, and supported a diverse workforce with various disability needs. As a leader, Ali has always been committed to empowering people with disabilities, as well as disenfranchised and underprivileged communities, particularly those facing financial hardships or societal disadvantages. Ali's passion and motivation for research on disability accommodation and adjustment stem from his personal experiences with both visible and invisible disabilities, as well as from having family members and friends who live with disabilities.

Outside of work, Ali enjoys watching sports, socialising with friends, listening to music, attending comedy shows, and travelling around the beautiful landscapes of Australia.
