Karleigh Kwapil
Karleigh Kwapil is an advanced Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist working with in the Division of Rehabilitation, Princess Alexandra Hospital. Karleigh completed her PhD research in the area of neuropsychological rehabilitation following mild traumatic brain injury and has over 12 years of clinical experience working with individuals who have sustained acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other neurological impairments. Karleigh holds an Adjunct Researcher position within the Hopkins Centre and Griffith University. Her research interests focus on psychological and neuropsychological aspects of rehabilitation following injury and impairment and include: (1) Changing models of care within hospital and health settings, (2) Neuropsychological approaches to assessment and rehabilitation for individuals with mild traumatic brain injury (4) The implementation of client centred behaviour support models in hospital settings (5) The impacts of cognitive impairment on spinal cord injury rehabilitation in both the inpatient and community setting.
